If you are choosing a social recipe app, Souschef and ReciMe are the two names that come up most often. This page is published by Souschef. It is a documentation comparison, not a lab test of every screen in both apps. ReciMe facts come from ReciMe’s help center and public store listings, checked on 17 September 2026.
Quick answer: Both apps import from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Pinterest, and both free plans mention about five imports per week. On Souschef, every cooking and organization feature stays on the free plan; Plus only removes the import limit. ReciMe’s help center lists cooking mode, nutrition, measurement conversion, and print/export as Plus features.

Souschef currently supports Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, most popular recipe websites, photos, AI chat, pasted text, and recipes you write yourself. Social imports can use captions, descriptions, and spoken audio when available. You can start an import and keep browsing; Souschef notifies you when background processing finishes.
ReciMe’s help center says smart imports include social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest), websites, images, and pasted text.
Free plan vs paid plan
Souschef free: five saved imports per rolling 7 days. Previewing or a failed import does not count. Every feature listed in the Help Center, including Cooking Mode, nutrition, conversion, printing, and translation, is available without Plus. Free vs Plus.

ReciMe free, according to ReciMe help last updated May–August 2026: up to 5 imports every 7 days; failed or unsaved imports do not count; the week is tied to account-creation weekday. ReciMe says you can still write recipes manually, make grocery lists, meal plan, and organize cookbooks on free.
ReciMe Plus, according to ReciMe help: unlimited imports, cookbook/image scanning, nutrition calculator, paste-in recipe blocks, cooking mode, measurement converter, an in-recipe AI assistant, and PDF/print. ReciMe also describes a 7-day trial; ReciMe notes that the monthly plan may not include a trial and that trials are limited to one per user.
Public US App Store listings for ReciMe Plus on 17 September 2026 showed in-app purchases between $29.99 and $59.99 USD without a clear public monthly-versus-yearly label on the listing itself. Treat those as a range to verify in the store, not as a quote we can lock.
Cooking, shopping, and devices
Souschef Cooking Mode, voice commands (English and Japanese), timers, a prep checklist, and up to five pinned recipes are included on free and require the mobile app. Meal Plan is signed-in and stored on the phone, not restored after reinstall. Pantry is experimental. Shared recipes, lists, and collections can open in a lightweight browser viewer; it is not a full web app.

- Choose ReciMe if you want ReciMe’s trial, cookbooks, and the Plus bundle ReciMe documents, and you prefer their product direction.
