How to Save Facebook Recipe Posts, Videos, and Reels

Facebook still sends a surprising number of recipes across your feed: a friend’s post, a page video, a Reel. Souschef can turn those into an editable recipe instead of another saved link you will not open while onions are already in the pan.

Quick answer: Open the Facebook post, video, or Reel, tap Share, then choose Souschef. You can also copy the link and paste it into Souschef. Keep browsing while the import runs; a notification arrives when it finishes.

Method 1: Share from Facebook

  1. Open the post, video, or Reel.
  2. Tap Share, then More if you need the full share sheet.
  3. Choose Souschef. If it is hidden, add it to the iPhone share sheet.
  4. You can keep browsing. Processing can take up to about 30 seconds, especially when spoken audio is involved.
  5. Review the extracted recipe, edit anything unclear, and tap Save.

Method 2: Paste a Facebook URL

  1. Tap the three dots on the post and copy the link, or copy it from your browser.
  2. Open Souschef, tap +, and choose Import from URL.
  3. Paste and import.
  4. Check quantities and steps before cooking.

Souschef uses the caption or description and, when available, spoken audio. A photo of a finished dish with no written or spoken recipe may import incompletely. Private or login-walled posts can fail if Souschef cannot read them.
